May 18th, Wisconsin International Raceway

18 Wisconsin Sport Trucks showed up to turn laps for the Wisconsin International Raceway Season Opener.

Van Horn, who is gunning for his fifth straight title, started the main event in row four. Van Horn motored around Appleton’s Justin Fickel to assume the lead on lap seven. The defending track champion pulled away and cruised to victory. Things got interesting for a bit when a caution flew for a Marty Sokolik spin with five to go when the field tightened up with Kyle Quella hot on his heels. On the restart Van Horn pulled away and kept Quella at bay to hang on the for twin. Quella took second, followed by Kylee Vandermoss, Justin Fickel and Tanner Fickel.
